Volunteer some time
Reasons to raise money for Sickle Cell & Young Stroke Survivors
Support children who have Sickle cell disease and have to endure excruciating pain. Our Saturday club give them a sense of belonging as they meet other children going through the same illness.

• Support children who have had a Stroke as they realise they are not alone and their parents can get the help and support they need through SCYSS respite programme.
• Support children who have regular blood transfusion as they realise that it is for their own good
  and when they want to give up, with the support we give the children they realise why they have to continue the treatment.
• Some children still have to have a needle in their stomach 5 nights a week for 10 to 12 hours.
• Children and young people in Africa have no drugs and have to rely on just paracetamol for their pain,
  
• SCYSS can offer something stronger for them to relieve their pain.
  
• SCYSS can offer counselling for children and parents/Carers.
